Medium-Like Blog PoC in Python
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want to launch a proof-of-concept blogging platform that feels as smooth as Medium or Substack, yet is completely custom. The heart of the build is a Python backend—pick the framework you work fastest with—as long as the code is clean, modular, and lives in a Git repo split into dev, test, and prod environments.
Core experience
• Authentication must support email/password and OAuth via Google & GitHub.
• Writers need a rich, “smart” editor with autosave and live preview; the writing flow has to feel effortless on both desktop and, especially, mobile.
• Readers can pay through subscriptions (daily, monthly, yearly) or buy single articles. For the PoC we must integrate e-wallets and bank transfers first; other gateways can follow later.
• The system has to calculate revenue shares for each author and surface the numbers in a simple dashboard.
Infrastructure & hand-off
I’ll count on you to ship the PoC to production, bind it to my domain, and make sure payments clear end-to-end. Deployment scripts, environment files, and concise documentation are part of the deal.
Acceptance test
If I can register, write a post, pay with an e-wallet, and see the transaction reflected in the author dashboard, the milestone is met.
