MVP Live-Streaming Website Development

Job ID: 39860165

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m ready to validate a live-streaming concept on the web first, without diving into mobile apps yet. The goal is an MVP that feels similar to Hot51 but pared down to the essentials so we can test market traction quickly.

Core scope
• One-to-many live stream: a single host (broadcaster) goes live while unlimited viewers watch in real time. Please outline your preferred approach—e.g., WebRTC, HLS, or a hybrid—so we can balance latency, scalability, and cost.
• Real-time chat: low-latency text chat that stays in sync with the video stream. Socket.io, Firebase, or a comparable solution is fine as long as it delivers sub-second updates.
• Simple token / gift system: virtual gifts that deduct from a user’s on-site balance only. No external payment gateway integration for this phase; keep the logic modular so it can be connected to payments later.
• Basic profiles: photo, display name, and short bio for both regular users and streamers.
• Responsive UI: desktop and mobile web must share a consistent look and feel. I already have a few design references and will provide them once we start.
• Admin panel: from one dashboard I need to (1) manage users, (2) view & download usage or earnings reports, and (3) control or spotlight live-stream content.

Deliverables
– Source code in a private Git repo with clear commit history
– Deployed staging site on my cloud account
– Brief technical documentation covering environment setup, how to start/stop streams, and how the token system is wired

When you submit, include a concise but detailed project proposal that covers:
• recommended tech stack and why you chose it
• estimated timeline split into milestones
• any previous live-video or high-concurrency work you’ve done

I’ll share the design mock-ups and reference sites after short-listing. Looking forward to seeing how you would bring this MVP to life.
