MVP Development for Hotel-Booking Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a lean, working MVP of a hotel-booking platform (OTA style) so I can quickly test market fit before committing to a full build. The scope is deliberately narrow: solid, reliable core features over polished bells and whistles.
What must be in this first version:
• Room booking system that lets guests browse availability, select dates, or by events and confirm a reservation in real time. Guests can opt to book solo or find a roommate to share the room with (This is the core of the system, our own unique feature you cannot see from other site).
• Integrated payments (credit/debit and the usual wallets we will use local payment test API that I will provide) so bookings can be completed end-to-end on the site
• User reviews and ratings tied to completed stays (ratings for roommate and hotel)
• Room-sharing and split-payment flow for guests who want to divide the bill at checkout
• Account layer with user registration / login, profile management and a booking history page (A minimal version only)
• Two dashboards: one for hotel partners to manage inventory, one for admins to monitor all activity
The UI can stay minimal; usability and clean code are the priority. Please structure the project so I can iterate quickly—clear documentation, modular components, and visible API endpoints are key. I’m flexible on tech stack as long as it supports rapid development and future scaling. (I have Figma design that we can use, I will share with you before we initiate as well as some website that we can benchmark).
I am not looking for a big build, all I want is a minimal MVP so I will highly get your feedbacks to how we start the project.
For tech stack I was thinking either PHP LARAVEL or Javscript Framework. So its your call, which one do you think is the best one and suited.
