MEMBERSHIP Marketplace Website for WebHookups

I’m launching WebHookups.com, a two-sided platform where people who need a website can meet skilled website builders and strike a fair deal without middle-man mark-ups. The core idea is simple: buyers post a brief, builders pitch, both parties negotiate milestones, then work and payments flow safely through the site.

Scope of work
• Design a clean, mobile-first interface for two user types—buyers and builders—plus a lightweight landing page that explains the value proposition.
• Build the full marketplace workflow: project posting, smart matching, private messaging, proposal/bid management, milestone approvals, escrow-style payments, ratings, and dispute resolution.
• Support every website category—e-commerce, informational, portfolio, and anything else a client might request—so flexible project tags, filters, and search are essential.
• Provide an admin dashboard with user management, fee controls, analytics, and CMS-style content editing.
• Integrate secure payments (Stripe or PayPal preferred) and standard social sign-ins.
• Deliver thoroughly tested code, basic documentation, and deployment to a cloud host of your choice.

Tech stack is open, though I’m leaning toward a React (or Next.js) front end with a Node/Express or Django back end, plus a relational database. If you have a battle-tested alternative that can scale, I’m happy to consider it.

Acceptance criteria
1. Users can register, verify email, and complete a profile as buyer or builder.
2. A buyer can create a project, receive bids, and fund milestones.
3. A builder can browse/filter projects, submit proposals, and request milestone releases.
4. Payments process end-to-end in sandbox and live mode.
5. Admin panel exposes user, project, and payout controls.
6. Deployed production site passes responsive and basic security checks (OWASP top 10).
