Live Viewer Counter & Ad Rotator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My website presents food recommendations in a simple list layout. At the very top of every page I want two things working together:
• 100 ad slots that automatically rotate so each creative gets a fair share of impressions (for example, if 100 visitors are browsing, every ad should cycle through so they are all seen in roughly equal measure).
So since most viewers will only mainly be viewing the page’s very top, we need all 100 ads to rotate where all ads are equals shown in the top 10 ad slots to an equal number of visitors.
The recommendations don’t need to rotate, just the ads.
The rotation logic should be independent of page reloads as well, so users who stay on the page still see new ads appear after a set interval.
I’ve already build a beautiful mockup of the page and you will need to replicate this page design perfectly when building the website. This is very important.
I’m flexible on the underlying stack—JavaScript with a lightweight back-end service, a WordPress plugin, or a small custom script are all fine as long as they keep the site fast. What matters is clean, well-commented code and a short set of instructions so I can swap in new ads later. If you already have experience with sockets, polling, or server-sent events for live counts, mention it in your bid.
Deliverables
• Timed ad rotator sharing impressions evenly among all uploaded creatives
• Simple admin/config file or panel to add or remove ads and change rotation interval
• Brief deployment notes so I can replicate this on staging and production
