JavaScript Web App Deployment Help

I have been building a program and finally got it to be working in my test environment using Gemini. It's working as it should and i'm ready to deploy. I opened a firebase account and went through setting up the script, index, and CSS files and creating a folder. I was able to deploy it, but on the web it looks nothing like that i built and none of the functions are working. i'm hoping the full code can be used and it can be set up. It's a pretty simple program I think, but I just need to get it deployed and working


I already have a working JavaScript web application built with a modern framework (think React, Angular, or Vue) and its supporting backend logic. Coding is done—the problem is getting everything off my local machine and running smoothly in the cloud.

My first thought was Firebase, but I’m unsure how to split the front-end build from the server-side code, keep the folder structure intact, and set up an environment that actually scales. I need someone who can walk me through (or handle) the full deployment workflow so the app is live, secure, and easy to maintain.

Key outcomes I’m looking for:
• A clean separation of frontend and backend code, with the right build commands and directory structure.
• A hosted, production-ready deployment (Firebase is fine; if you have a better suggestion I’m open to it).
• Working environment variables, routing, and any serverless functions or API endpoints.
• Simple, step-by-step documentation so I can reproduce the deploy process on my own.
