Interactive Responsibility Map Trainer
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
This project is a web-based, interactive Area of Responsibility (AOR) tactical map designed for Coast Guard boat crew training and operational familiarization.
The primary objective is to create a clean, modern, nautical-themed interface that allows users to visually explore their operational area while learning critical geographic, navigational, and mission-relevant points.
This map will serve as both:
• A professional training tool
• A mission planning and familiarization aid
• A foundation for future BCM qualification features

Core Purpose
The AOR Map is designed to help boat crew members:
• Memorize key locations
• Identify hazards and structures
• Recognize aids to navigation
• Understand patrol sectors
• Build operational confidence before underway missions
The focus is on geographic mastery of the operating area.

Each point on the map will include:
• Name
• Type (marina, structure, buoy, bridge, inlet, hazard, SAR hotspot, etc.)
• Description
• Operational notes
• Associated risks
• Photo (if available)
• Optional training notes
All AOR points will be exportable in CSV / Excel format.

Future Expansion (Boat Crew Integration)
While the map is the primary focus, it will eventually integrate into a broader Boat Crew training platform that includes:
• BCM qualification pathway
• GAR 2.0 risk assessment scenarios
• Mission simulations
• Navigation exercises
• Visual RB-S recognition
• Readiness scoring
The AOR Map will serve as the geographic foundation for these additional training modules.
