Project Description

I need a developer to build a website for a visual artist. The core requirement is an advanced, interactive art display system that allows visitors to view paintings in multiple ways, including a realistic “room view” setting.

All design assets and content are ready and will be provided:

• Complete website layout/mockup (Figma or PSD)
• All artwork images (high-resolution, clean shots)
• All text content (biography, painting details, etc.)

My main focus is not on custom design or theme development, but on implementing a specific, high-quality art viewing experience.

Primary Technical Objective

Replicate or build upon the functionality shown on the example page below.
Pay special attention to the “Room View” button and the multiple viewing options.

Scope of Work
1. Website Build and Basic Layout

• Implement the provided design into a fully functional website
• Build core pages: Home, About, Art, Contact, Events
• Ensure full responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile

2. Advanced Artwork Display System (Core Deliverable)

• Individual artwork pages
Each painting must have its own detailed page

• Multiple view modes per artwork
For each painting, implement the following views (similar to the reference example):
– Standard view: full artwork image
– Room view: artwork displayed in a realistic room environment
Room background images will be provided
– One to two alternative views, such as:
– framed artwork view
– close-up or detail view

• Image zoom functionality
Smooth, high-quality zoom in and zoom out for the main painting image
Must work across all view modes and devices (desktop and mobile)

• View navigation
Clear and intuitive switching between view modes using buttons or tabs

3. Content Management and Gallery

• Create a structured gallery or archive page listing all artworks

• Build the site with a simple, user-friendly admin/backend so I can:
– Add new artworks
– Edit titles, dimensions, medium, prices, and descriptions
– Upload and manage images for each view mode
– Remove artworks
– Control gallery order

Technical Preferences (Flexible for the Right Solution)

• Platform options may include:
– WordPress (custom post types, structured fields, minimal plugins)
– A static site with a headless CMS (e.g. WordPress headless, Decap CMS)
– A modern framework, provided content updates remain easy for a non-developer

• Key requirement
The final site must be fast, SEO-friendly, and easy for me to manage without writing code

Deliverables and Timeline

• Fully functional live website deployed on my hosting
• Full administrative access
• Short documentation or video explaining how to manage artworks and content

Timeline:
• 3 weeks / 15 working days from project start
