Indian Rail Info Portal Development
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m rebuilding chalotrain.com into a single–stop information hub for Indian Railways and I need a developer who can own the entire eight-week roll-out, hand over clean, well-documented source code, and stay on for a month of free bug-fix support.
Project flow & priorities
Although the original roadmap started with Core features, I now want the Monetisation layer delivered first. Within that, the “Order Food on Train” widget is mission-critical, so it must be the very first live component. After this revenue block is settled, we can move on to the rest of the site.
Proposed timeline
• Weeks 1-3 – Monetisation features (Order Food on Train first, then Train Details Hub, Credit-Card Comparison, Cancelled-Trains list, Insurance widget, Rail Madad redirect).
• Weeks 4-7 – Core railway utilities.
• Week 8 – Engagement add-ons and polish.
Feature checklist you will build
Core
– Intelligent search bar that lets users search directly by train name or number (no station auto-suggest or spell-correction needed).
– Trains Between Stations, Live Running Status, Full Schedule, Seat Availability, Fare Calculator, Coach Position, Live Station Board, Interactive Map, Tatkal Availability.
Monetisation (top priority)
– Order Food on Train (first release).
– Train Details Hub.
– Credit-Card Comparison.
– Travel-Insurance widget.
– Cancelled-Trains list.
– Rail Madad redirect.
Engagement
– WhatsApp support button.
– “Coming Soon” booking cards.
Other requirements
• All necessary railway APIs are already in place; you’ll just need to consume them securely.
• The interface must be fully mobile-responsive.
• I receive 100 % ownership of the source code on hand-off.
• Payment will be milestone-based in line with the timeline above.
If this full-cycle build (from API integration through responsive UI and post-launch fixes) matches your skill set, let’s discuss your approach and tool stack so we can lock the schedule and milestones.
