Indian Medicine Price Comparison Site
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m building a custom-developed web application that lets Indian consumers type any drug name into a single search bar and instantly see live prices from the country’s major e-pharmacies—Netmeds, Amazon Pharmacy, Tata 1mg, Apollo, Jan Aushadhi and any others we can legally tap into. A user who clicks a price should jump straight to that pharmacy’s page through our affiliate link, so tight, reliable redirection is essential.
Alongside the price grid I want a full medicine profile: uses, dosage, interactions, contraindications, side-effects, plus a comparison tool so visitors can place two or more brands side-by-side and weigh strength, pack size and cost before buying. Everything must run on a fully custom stack (Laravel, Django, Node, or similar—you may choose) rather than WordPress or Shopify.
Key build points
• Live price collection via official APIs wherever possible; resilient scraping with rate-limit handling when APIs don’t exist.
• Caching layer that refreshes prices automatically while keeping DB load light.
• Mobile-first front end: fast autocomplete search bar, clean cards for each pharmacy, and schema-optimised medicine info for strong SEO.
• Admin dashboard to map brand names to generics, manage affiliate links, schedule price updates and edit text copy quickly.
Deliverables
1. Complete source code with database schema.
2. Deployed and SSL-secured on my server (AWS Lightsail or similar).
3. Documentation explaining setup, data sources and how to add a new pharmacy.
4. 30-day post-launch bug-fix support.
Acceptance criteria
• Relevant search results in under one second for a catalogue of roughly five-lakh records.
• Live prices from at least six pharmacies, auto-refreshed every six hours.
• Comparison tool accurately lines up products and retains selection on page reload.
