Indian Community Society Website Build

Our society has already secured a domain and hosting; what we now need is a complete website built from the ground up that reflects and serves the Indian community it represents. The primary goal is community engagement, so every design and technical decision should encourage members to interact, share, and feel at home on the site.

Core functionality
• Discussion forums that are easy to moderate and encourage lively conversation.
• Individual member profiles where users can introduce themselves, upload a photo, and update basic details.

Structure & style
The look and feel must evoke Indian cultural aesthetics without sacrificing clarity or loading speed. A responsive layout that works smoothly on phones as well as desktops is essential. Clean navigation, clear calls-to-action, and simple pathways to the forums and profile areas will keep visitors engaged.

Workflow
Once you’re onboard I’ll supply logos, colour references, page names, and any copy or imagery we already have. From there:
1. Wireframe approval.
2. Visual design sign-off.
3. Staged development on a test URL.
4. Final migration to our live domain with SSL in place.

Tech notes
I’m open to WordPress, Drupal, or a custom stack—whichever you feel gives the best balance of security, scalability, and ease of use for non-technical committee members. Please mention the forum engine or plugin you would integrate, how you’ll handle user registration and moderation, and any thoughts on future additions such as a newsletter subscription module.

Acceptance criteria
• Fully responsive site deployed on our domain.
• Working forums and profile pages with role-based permissions.
• Admin dashboard where committee members can add events or announcements without touching code.
• Page-load scores in the green on Google Lighthouse.
