How We Used to Talk digital project tidy up
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Ultimate Goal- finish socials and site with full circular integration
Specifically,
-Integrate printful into marketplace while creating merch marketplace
-Introduce clothing merch into marketplace with specifics i.e. like eliminate the background behind the artifacts but have a recommended color
-Insert an explanation of what an episode is and illustrate that with a visual of connecting from my payphone with cord to another payphone from across globe on the front page of website with our logo on top of city of interview location
-Create area where I post my mp3 audio only episodes (see maron) as FLAC is for sale and wav for backup and each episode will be a description and a pic of the place embedded with a link to the location on Google maps before the interview like a dot on a map then a pic of guest with Payphone (maybe connecting to my Payphone like on mail page)
-change color scheme to look more vintage with miles davis sketches of Spain cover palette with a dude calling a payphone in the corner instead of playing the trumpet as inspiration alongside points of reference
-sync fonts to same size (probably helvetica)
-explain # and how to use it retroactively to me (I'm kinda old and missed some things along the way tech wise)
-Find icons that match the store items already created just need a better pic
-find a way they add a client artifact to our t shirt format for a tee with their own artifact
-streamline as much ordering as possible (as to avoid me ordering something then mailing it to them for example)-just goes straight to them
-incorporate logo from wax stamp along with my decided (probably helvetica) font all on the site and on the t shirt design alongside description of artifact on merch that makes sense
-Integrate a phone sex line option as coming soon
-Discuss YouTube channel and especially thumbnail creation that fits my aesthetic
-all the tricks in the book you know with your experience to employ immediately and routinely
-algorithisms that can save me time
-all the “getting it out there” tricks pre and post live
AI recommendations in addition
Set up custom packing slips in Printful. Even if it ships from a warehouse, the paper inside should have my Helvetica branding and a digital version of your wax stamp logo so it doesn't feel like a generic "dropshipped" package.
Ensure the site uses a Content Delivery Network (CDN). These files are massive; if multiple people download them at once from a basic server, your site will crawl.
The "Interactive Map" Interface: For the "dots on a map" idea, suggest a Mapbox integration. It’s more customizable than Google Maps and can be styled to look like a vintage 1970s fold-out map that matches your Sketches of Spain color palette.
Change a corner of the navigation bar that looks like a Payphone Keypad. Clicking "1" takes you to Episodes, "2" to the Marketplace, etc.
Set up an automated pipeline where the best 30 seconds of an interview are overlaid with your spontaneous, unedited, vintage feeling aesthetic for TikTok and Reels.
SEO for "Digital Detox" & "Analog": Ensure your metadata is targeting the trends we discussed—"Digital Detox," "Payphone Archaeology," and "Vintage Audio Preservation."- in addition to popular culture in general
For the "Dumb Phone" Community: The Light Phone II is the gold standard for the Gen Z digital detox crowd. Mentioning compatibility or doing a "Light Phone" version of your site's UX could attract that specific niche.
For the Marketplace: Since I want "Printful" integration and "Acuity," a Squarespace Business Subscription is often the easiest for freelancers to skin with Helvetica fonts and custom CSS while handling those specific API integrations. I believe I have that now but let me know if I need to upgrade my subscription to square space
Please let me know if what you need from me for example like some images to upload to the marketplace. Alright. Thank you
