High-Resolution Art Slideshow Integration

I’m preparing CortezTeachingMuseum.org to open its virtual doors and I need an experienced developer-designer to weave a seamless, minimal slideshow that lets Jenness Cortez’s paintings speak for themselves. I’m settled on a carousel layout and want vertical and horizontal JPEGs to display together naturally—no borders, no forced cropping—while preserving every pixel of detail.

Here’s what I’m after:
• A Fotorama (or comparable) implementation that handles a large catalogue gracefully.
• Razor-sharp rendering on desktop, tablet, and phone, with touch and keyboard navigation feeling equally smooth.
• Quiet typography and discreet controls so visitors’ focus never drifts from the artwork.
• Clean, maintainable code so we can expand the collection without headaches.
