Help me build a referral system for my app

I need some help with building a referral system for my app. The main requirement is that I should be able count the clicks that each "referrer" generates because that's how I will be able to reward them. I just need help with setting up the backend and url routing.
You can use whatever you want want but you need to convince me why it's the best choice.
