Genomics Lab Custom CRM Build
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I run a genomics-service laboratory and need a single platform that replaces the scattered spreadsheets, email threads, and ad-hoc trackers we currently rely on. The CRM has to guide every sample and every client interaction from the first sales enquiry through project completion and final data delivery.
Core workflow
• Client Management – capture enquiries, quotes, contracts and ongoing account notes in one place, searchable and reportable.
• Project & Sample Tracking – follow each sample through reception, library prep, sequencing, bioinformatics and report issuance, with live status dashboards.
• Data Analysis View – let my informatics team attach result files and QC images, then push a concise summary to the client portal while archiving raw data in our on-prem storage.
• Delivery Status – automatic notifications and a clean download centre once reports are approved.
Access needs to span Sales & Marketing, Operations, Project Management, Informatics and Management, with a pared-down external portal for clients. Role-based permissions are essential so that, for example, Sales sees pipeline value while Informatics only sees datasets.
The system must comfortably handle client records, project metadata, per-sample status flags and accompanying images. A modern web stack is preferred—something like Django + React, Laravel + Vue or a comparable framework—with a REST or GraphQL API so we can later integrate instrument feeds and our finance package.
Deliverables
• A deployable web application (Docker-ready)
• Source code in a private Git repo with commit history
• Database schema and migration scripts
• Admin guide plus short user manual
• Hand-over session and two-week bug-fix window
Acceptance will be based on a live demo covering: creating a client, launching a project with multiple samples, updating sample statuses from three different user roles, attaching analysis output, and confirming that the client portal receives the final report. Security, audit logging and responsive UI are non-negotiable.
