Garment Order & Inventory Web App
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
we need that lets our garment business control orders and stock from a single interface built with modern, largely open-source tech. VS code and SQL server would be ok. React,, Angular, Django, Node, Laravel or similar stacks all work for me, as long as the final code is well-structured and fully documented for future in-house maintenance.
Core workflow
• Order management: create, edit and track garment orders end-to-end, with a clear timeline and automatic status changes.
• Customer history: each client’s past orders, quantities and styles must be instantly accessible for reorders and analytics.
• Inventory management: real-time stock counts, low-stock alerts, SKU/size/colour breakdowns and simple adjustments that sync with every order.
User roles
Only two roles are necessary right now—Manager and Employee. A Manager can set up products, authorise or cancel orders and run inventory reports, while an Employee can enter new orders, view their status and update dispatch details. Role-based permissions should be enforced throughout the system.
Tech and deployment
The UI needs to be responsive so staff can work on tablets in the warehouse. A RESTful (or GraphQL) API should power the front end for future mobile apps, and the whole solution must run on a standard Linux server or Docker container that I can deploy on AWS or DigitalOcean.
Deliverables
1. Full source code in a git repo
2. Database schema and migration scripts
3. Seed data for quick testing
4. Setup notes plus a concise user guide
5. A brief hand-off call or video demo
Acceptance criteria
• A new order flows through all defined statuses without manual DB edits.
• Inventory auto-updates when an order is placed, shipped or cancelled.
• Filtering or searching by customer instantly retrieves correct order histories.
• Both user roles see only the pages and actions assigned to them.
• The app installs cleanly from scratch with the provided instructions.
