Freight Broker Matching App
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a polished, DAT-style platform that lets freight brokers, manufacturers and carriers quickly locate one . The first gate is classic Email-and-Password authentication; once inside, users should land in an interface that feels familiar to anyone who has worked with DAT—clean load boards, clear typography and data-dense tables optimised for desktop and mobile.
Core workflow centres on an advanced, filter-rich search and match engine. A broker might filter by trailer type, lane, capacity date or equipment specs and receive instant, ranked matches. Likewise, a carrier can zero in on loads that fit dead-head radius, weight limits and preferred rates. The experience must be lightning fast and return precise results—even as the database grows.
At launch I only need the search-and-match feature, but the architecture should leave room for integrated messaging and post-transaction reviews down the road without code rewrites.
Deliverables
• High-fidelity UI prototypes that mirror the visual feel of DAT while remaining legally distinct
• Secure Email/Password login, password reset and basic user role management (broker, carrier, manufacturer, admin)
• Search engine with advanced filters, pagination and saved-search capability
• Responsive front-end and scalable back-end with clear API documentation
• Admin dashboard to approve VIP accounts and monitor usage metrics
Acceptance criteria
1. A new user can register, verify email and reach the main dashboard in under two minutes.
2. A broker entering origin “Chicago” + destination “Dallas” + “53' dry van” returns appropriate carrier matches in <1 s.
3. UI passes basic accessibility checks (WCAG AA).
4. Codebase builds cleanly and runs on the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari and a recent Android/iOS device.
If this sounds like a build you can spearhead, let me know how you would architect the stack and a realistic timeline for an MVP.
