Fix LearnPress Certificates Error
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m running a WordPress site with LearnPress and I hit a wall while adding the Certificates support extension—WordPress throws a “syntax error, unexpected token” in the JavaScript console and the install screen hangs.
All I need is the Certificates add-on installed and fully functional so that courses can automatically generate certificates for students on completion. There are no other third-party plugins in the stack, so a conflict is unlikely; this feels like a script or dependency issue inside LearnPress or the extension package itself.
Here’s what I expect from you:
• Diagnose the exact source of the JS syntax error (browser console shows the message above).
• Apply the fix—whether that means correcting the offending code, queuing scripts properly, or replacing a corrupted file.
• Activate the Certificates extension and prove that certificates are automatically issued when a test course is completed.
• Deliver a short summary of the steps taken so I can replicate the solution on staging/production if needed.
You’ll get admin access plus FTP on a staging clone, so no changes touch the live site until everything is validated. If you have prior experience with LearnPress hooks or add-on development, this should be a quick win.
