Fix Hacked WordPress Homepage

My WordPress site has been hacked and only the homepage shows visible defacement. I need someone who can quickly restore the original layout and content, trace how the attacker got in, and close whatever gap allowed the intrusion.

I have just updated all the plugins, but need a more thorough check.
