Finalize PHP Video Platform
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
The core of my procedural-PHP / MySQL video site is already live on a test server—users can register, upload, watch, and comment—but it still looks like a demo. I now need an experienced developer to polish the project so I can launch on shared hosting without surprises.
Branding & UI
• Update the site’s colour palette and swap in new logo/asset files. I have a rough direction but no rigid guideline, so you can suggest exact hex codes and lightweight CSS tweaks that keep the current layout intact. No full redesign—just a fresh, cohesive look and a quick pass to remove stray styles.
Bunny.net Storage & CDN
Right now videos sit on the local server. I need all future uploads pushed to Bunny Storage, the returned path saved in MySQL, and every playback request served through Bunny’s CDN zone. Once this is working I will decommission local video delivery entirely.
Installation Docs
Please write a concise README that walks me through database import, env/config variables, file permissions, and any .htaccess or php.ini changes so I can redeploy on fresh hosting in minutes. Add a short troubleshooting section for the common “white screen / 500 error / SQL connect” issues you encounter.
Analytics
Set up a self-hosted Matomo instance (already provisioned) and drop the tracking code so I can see basic traffic and page behaviour. Include one-page notes on how to view stats and add future goals or events.
Optional (nice to have)
• Move secrets to a simple .env loader
• Replace the legacy md5 password scheme with password_hash() / password_verify()
• Tidy obvious code smells you spot along the way
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
1. Bunny Storage upload, DB URL saving, and CDN playback confirmed working on my test domain
2. Updated colours and assets visible across all pages with clean CSS
3. Markdown or PDF install guide tested from a blank hosting account
4. Matomo traffic visibly recording page views within the dashboard
5. Source code delivered via ZIP or Git branch with brief change log
If you’ve integrated Bunny.net, Matomo, or similar stacks before, that’s a bonus. Let me know your relevant experience and the estimated turnaround time—once we agree, I’ll hand over the repository and server credentials so you can start right away.
