Hello, I've been let down by a joomla engineer

I’m looking for an experienced Joomla developer to help me audit and safely modernise 2 existing Joomla websites.

The sites were originally built around 2013 and still functions well. I like the existing structure and functionality and do not want a full rebuild unless it is genuinely unavoidable.

What I’m looking for is:

• A clear audit of the current Joomla version, PHP compatibility, template, and extensions

• Advice on upgrading to Joomla 4 / 5 in a controlled way

• Preserving existing content, URLs, menus, and overall behaviour

• Replacing only what is genuinely incompatible or insecure

• A security-first, low-disruption approach


What I am not looking for:

• A forced redesign

• Migration to WordPress or another CMS

• Unnecessary feature changes
