My current web application is already in production, but it needs a thoughtful round of improvements to reach the next level. This is a medium-sized engagement: big enough to require structured planning and solid engineering practices, yet focused enough that we can measure clear before-and-after gains.

The codebase, infrastructure, and basic feature set are in place. What I need now is a systematic upgrade that tightens the user experience, polishes rough edges, and removes the performance bottlenecks that have crept in as usage has grown. While the primary emphasis is on enhancing what already exists, I’m open to sensible suggestions that add value—whether that’s refining the interface, optimising queries, or refactoring key modules.

You’ll begin by reviewing the repository and staging environment, then outline a concise improvement plan that lists tasks, priorities, and estimated turnaround times. Once we agree on the roadmap, you’ll work iteratively, pushing small, test-covered changes so that regressions are easy to spot and rollbacks are painless. Git, automated tests, and sensible commit messages are essential.
Deliverables (all source controlled):
• Improvement roadmap with time estimates
• Clean, well-commented code for each completed task
• Unit / integration tests covering new or altered logic
• Brief deployment notes explaining any environment changes
• Summary report comparing key metrics (load times, error rates, UI polish) before and after your work
Acceptance Criteria
Updates must deploy successfully to staging with zero critical errors, all existing functionality intact, and demonstrable gains in the agreed metrics.
