EHR-Integrated Appointment Scheduler
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I run a multi-specialty medical practice—Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Behavioral Health—serving East Alabama and West Georgia. I need a web-based appointment scheduling system that drops smoothly into our current site and talks directly to our Electronic Health Records (EHR).
What I’m looking for
• Online appointment booking that lets patients pick location, provider, and visit type from any device.
• A secure patient portal where they can view or cancel upcoming visits and, if the EHR allows, update basic information or upload forms.
• Real-time, standards-based integration with our existing EHR (FHIR or HL7) so every booking, reschedule, or cancellation syncs instantly.
• An admin dashboard for staff to open or block time, override slots, and see daily load at a glance.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional scheduler and portal, deployed to our hosting environment.
2. Source code with concise maintenance documentation.
3. One walkthrough session plus a round of post-launch tweaks.
Environment & compliance
The main site is on WordPress, so a plug-in, iframe, or embed code works; a standalone microservice is fine too. Preferred stacks: Laravel, Django, or Node with a modern JavaScript front-end—use what you can support long-term, but keep HIPAA and security best practices front and center.
Timeline
A working prototype within three weeks and final hand-over shortly after.
If you’ve linked scheduling tools to EHRs before—especially via FHIR—please tell me about it and share relevant examples or screenshots.
