Dynamic Mortgage & Refinance Calculator
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a web-based mortgage tool that can:
• calculate monthly mortgage payments in real time,
• display a full loan amortization schedule, and
• compare current terms with a new rate or term so users instantly see potential refinance savings.
The core logic must be accurate to the cent, working with both fixed-rate and adjustable-rate assumptions (I’ll supply the formulas for the latter). The front end should feel clean and modern—think smooth sliders, crisp typography, and responsive layout that adapts gracefully from phone to desktop.
Two delivery formats are required:
1. A self-contained standalone page I can drop into any site.
2. An embeddable widget (single JavaScript snippet or iframe) so partners can insert the calculator on their pages without setup hassles.
I’m comfortable hosting everything, so just hand me the minified assets, well-commented source (HTML5, CSS3/Sass, vanilla JS or React are all fine), and a brief read-me covering install, config variables, and where to tweak styling.
Acceptance criteria:
• Inputs validate gracefully and highlight errors.
• Results update instantly without page reload.
• Amortization table exports to CSV.
• Refinance comparison clearly shows monthly and lifetime savings.
• Lighthouse performance score ≥ 90 on mobile.
