Display Corporate Icon in Search

Job ID: 40475329

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I need the icon (favicon) and official title of our corporate website to show up every time a page from the site is displayed in Google or Bing results. Both the favicon file and the exact title text already exist and are live on the site, but the search snippets still fall back to a generic icon or omit the name altogether.

Your job is to diagnose what is missing, fix the markup, and resubmit the site so the change sticks. Typical touch-points will likely include:

• Making sure the favicon link tags are declared in all required formats (ICO, PNG, SVG)
• Adding or correcting Web App Manifest / mask-icon declarations for modern browsers
• Verifying that title tags match the preferred brand style across templates
• Implementing any structured data (Organisation, WebSite) that encourages SERP branding
• Pushing the updated sitemap through Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, then confirming the new icon and title render in live results

Acceptance criteria
– Google and Bing both display the supplied favicon next to at least one indexed page in standard, incognito, and mobile searches
– The brand title appears exactly as provided, without truncation or unwanted additions
– A brief hand-off note outlining the changes made and where they were applied

Everything is already hosted; I can give you access to the codebase or CMS and both webmaster dashboards as soon as we start.
