I need an advanced, web-based task management system purpose-built for Indian IT-services teams that juggle hundreds of concurrent tickets. The backbone is a live Kanban board (To Do → In Progress → In Review → Done) with smooth drag-and-drop and the ability to show, in real time, exactly who is looking at or moving each card. Kanban is the default view, yet the same data must render instantly in List and Timeline modes for users who prefer those perspectives.
Key workflow essentials
• Real-time collaboration is non-negotiable: multiple users must edit, comment and watch updates without refreshing the page.
• Instant notifications (browser and optional e-mail) when a card changes state or an @mention fires.
• Smart filtering across status, assignee, and dd-mm-yyyy date ranges so teams can narrow to “overdue tasks assigned to me this week” in a click.
• A live stats panel summarising Total Tasks, Completed, In Progress, Overdue and overall Completion Rate.
• Modern, responsive UI with a clean purple-gradient theme that feels at home on desktop and mobile.
• Smooth performance up to at least 500 active tasks on a single board.
Deliverables
1. Source-controlled code (React, Vue or Angular preferred, Node/Express or Django for the API, and WebSockets or Firebase for live presence—use what you are fastest and most confident with).
2. Database schema optimised for rapid filtering; open to PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar.
3. Unit and integration tests that prove drag-and-drop, filtering and real-time presence work under load.
4. Deploy scripts or container files so I can spin up the app on an Ubuntu VPS.
5. Brief hand-off doc and a recorded walkthrough.
Acceptance criteria
• Two users working in different browsers see each other’s cursor icons on the same card within one second.
• Filtering “In Progress, assigned to X, last seven days” returns results in under 300 ms with 500+ tasks loaded.
• Date pickers default to dd-mm-yyyy and validate that format on input.
• Lighthouse performance score ≥ 90 on desktop.
