The goal is to ship a browser-based personal finance application that makes tracking income and expenses effortless yet precise. At its core, the system must centre on a single workflow: users record every transaction manually through one detailed form. That form should expose all the usual fields—date, amount, currency, payee, category, sub-category, payment method, notes, and an optional tag field—so nothing important ever stays hidden off-screen.

Once stored, those records feed a clean dashboard that rolls totals, daily and monthly trends, and category breakdowns into quick-loading charts and tables. I want users to open the app and immediately understand where their money went today, this week, and this month, without digging through settings.

A few practical notes:
• Modern, responsive front end that works just as well on a phone as on a laptop.
• Simple, secure auth (email / password or OAuth) so every user’s data stays private.
• Backend built on a framework you’re comfortable scaling (Node/Express, Django, Laravel, etc.).
• All figures stored with proper currency precision to avoid rounding errors.
• Clear README plus a short video or GIF showing the add-transaction flow from start to dashboard refresh.
