On-Demand Services Marketplace Build

The project centres on a two-sided marketplace that links users to verified, day-to-day service providers—including plumbers, carpenters, electricians, massage therapists, and beauticians. The core experience must feel as simple as ordering a ride: enter the need, browse vetted pros nearby, chat, and confirm.

Key interface elements have been settled:

• Service provider profiles must carry a clear verification badge, so users immediately recognise trustworthy professionals.
• User reviews and star ratings sit prominently on every profile, making social proof effortless to scan.
• Real-time in-app messaging lets both sides discuss job details without leaving the platform.

For sign-up and log-in, phone number verification with OTP is the single source of truth; social or email flows are not required in this phase.

Every professional’s profile also displays a customer satisfaction rate that updates automatically as new ratings come in.

Scope of the build covers:

– Responsive web front end (React, Vue, or similar) plus room to extend into mobile later.
– Backend that stores user data, manages OTP auth, handles messaging threads, and flags verified accounts (Node.js, Firebase, or comparable stack).
– Admin dashboard so our internal team can approve documentation, toggle verification badges, and moderate reviews.
– Clean REST or GraphQL APIs for future mobile clients.

Deliverable for this milestone is an MVP deployed to a cloud host, fully functional across modern browsers, and ready for closed beta with real users.
