Customize WooCommerce Admin Dashboard

Job Title: WooCommerce Admin Navigation Customization (Custom Statuses & Colour Coding)
1. Project Overview
We need an experienced developer to customize the order management dashboard in WooCommerce. Currently, our order status navigation row is cluttered. We want to clean up the UI by displaying only a specific subset of order statuses in a precise sequence, completely reorganized using a color-coded text/button system to improve our team's operational workflow.

2. Scope of Work
Reorganize and Display Specific Statuses Only
• Modify the WooCommerce admin orders table top navigation row (subsubsub class).
• Display only the 8 core statuses listed below in this exact sequential order.
• Hide all other existing, native, or plugin-generated statuses from this active view (but keep them registered in the system backend for future use).
Implement Color-Coded Navigation Links
Apply the following color scheme strictly to the top navigation text and button elements only (do not alter the color of the main order rows or customer emails):
1. Orders — Black
2. Processing — Blue
3. On Hold — Yellow
4. Special (New Custom Status) — Red
5. Amendments (New Custom Status) — Green
6. Re-Send (New Custom Status) — Orange
7. Acknowledged (New Custom Status) — Dark Orange
8. All — Light Blue
Technical Constraints & Notifications
• No Email Alerts: The custom statuses (Special, Amendments, Re-Send, Acknowledged) must not trigger or send any automated email notifications to customers when selected.
• Register new statuses safely using native WooCommerce filters (wc_order_statuses).
• Ensure custom statuses can be safely assigned inside individual order edit screens.
• Keep WooCommerce core files untouched; implement changes via a child theme functions.php or a separate custom plugin.
Additionally, the dropdown filter for updating order statuses should be aligned with the custom statuses, allowing selected orders to be seamlessly transitioned to the next status.
