Custom E-commerce Web Application

I’m looking to have a full-featured e-commerce web application built from scratch. This is entirely a software development project—the deliverable must run in a browser, as I won’t be targeting mobile-only or desktop-only users.

Core objective
The site’s main purpose is online sales. Shoppers need to browse a catalog, add items to a cart, check out securely, and receive automated order confirmations. On the back end I’ll need an admin dashboard where I can manage products, inventory, orders, discounts, and user accounts.

Key requirements
• Modern, responsive frontend (React, Vue, or similar)
• Robust back-end API (Node/Express, Django, or a framework you’re comfortable with)
• Secure authentication and role-based access
• Integration with at least one mainstream payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
• Clean database design that can scale with a growing product range
• Clear documentation and basic deployment instructions

Acceptance criteria
1. I can spin up the project locally with a one-command install.
2. Test data pre-loaded so I can verify the buying flow end-to-end.
3. Admin dashboard lets me create, edit, and deactivate products without touching the codebase.
4. Orders appear in the admin panel immediately after checkout with status updates reflected in real time.
5. Source code supplied in a private Git repository with concise commit history.
