Custom Website Code Audit & Estimate

Job ID: 40273604

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

The project on my desk is an unfinished, custom-coded website. I don’t have reliable documentation, and I’m unsure which languages or frameworks the previous team actually used. Before any more time or money goes into it, I need a clear technical audit.

You will receive full access to the current codebase and any deployment assets I hold. Your task is to dig through the repository, identify the stack, evaluate code quality, flag what can be salvaged, and outline what must be rewritten. Once you understand the state of play, translate those findings into a realistic roadmap that pairs tasks with an estimated timeline and cost to bring the site to completion.

Deliverables:
• A concise report covering detected technologies, third-party dependencies, and environment requirements.
• A sectioned assessment of each major feature/module with notes on reuse versus refactor or rebuild.
• A phased completion plan that includes effort hours and an overall cost estimate tied to milestones.

I will be available for questions and can provide server credentials, design files, and any earlier communication threads that might help you piece the story together.

CLIENT NOTES:

DEVELOPERS, here is what I have for your review:

1) Website is deployed and partially functional on AWS servers.
2) I own the AWS accounts and deployment.
3) AWS deployed Website is viewable; partially functional and I have a domain + login for viewing.
4) I have a .ZIP file of the project files the developer provided before deployment
