Custom E-Commerce Web App Development

Job ID: 40296288

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I’m ready to build a full-featured e-commerce web application and need a developer who can take the idea from concept to deployment. The core goal is to deliver a fast, secure online store that works flawlessly on desktop and mobile browsers.

What I already know: this is a software-development job, not marketing or design in isolation, and the deliverable must be a web application, not a mobile or desktop installable.

Scope of work
• Plan and propose the tech stack that best balances performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance. Popular choices like React or Vue on the front end and Node, Django, Laravel, or similar on the back end are all on the table—convince me why yours is the right fit.
• Design a clean, intuitive UI/UX with responsive layouts.
• Implement essential e-commerce functions: product catalogue, search & filters, shopping cart, checkout, user accounts, order history, and an admin dashboard for inventory and content management.
• Integrate secure payments (Stripe, PayPal, or equivalent) and ensure full PCI compliance.
• Set up authentication, role-based access, and data encryption best practices.
• Include unit tests, basic end-to-end tests, and clear documentation so another dev can pick up the codebase without guesswork.
• Containerise or script deployment—Docker, AWS, or an equivalent cloud service—so I can launch with a single command.

Acceptance criteria
1. All listed features function seamlessly on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
2. Page load times under two seconds for catalogue and product pages on a standard broadband connection.
3. No critical or major issues in the final test suite.
4. Full project assets—source code, database schema, environment files, and documentation—delivered in a private repository I control.

Please share links to e-commerce projects you’ve shipped, note the tech stacks you used, and outline an estimated timeline with milestones for design, MVP, and final release. I’m happy to answer deeper questions about catalogue size, product variations, or any third-party integrations once we connect.
