I want a clean, responsive blog built from the ground up. Publishing new posts should be as simple as logging in, writing, and hitting “publish,” so a user-friendly CMS such as WordPress, Ghost, or a lightweight static-site generator is fine by me—feel free to recommend the best fit.

The only must-have feature right now is a newsletter subscription form that feeds directly into Mailchimp (or another mainstream email marketing tool if you have a better suggestion). I’m not asking for a comment section or social-sharing buttons at this stage, but I’d like the codebase structured so those can be added later without a full rebuild.
