Custom Glove Builder – MVP Scope Document

Goal:
Build a 2D web-based glove customization tool for a custom baseball glove brand. The MVP should closely mirror the flow and structure of the CUSTOM Brand Glove Builder (https://customballgloves.com/products/custom-brand-glove-builder) , with our branding, color palette, and perpart customization. The experience should be responsive, embeddable, and optimized for mobile and desktop users.

CORE REQUIREMENTS

1. WebBased Glove Customizer

Fully responsive (mobile + desktop) Embeddable in WordPress No login/account functionality needed

2. Step 1: Position Selection

User selects a glove type: Catcher’s Mitt First Base Mitt Outfield Glove Infield Glove Pitcher’s Glove

Each glove type will: Load a unique 2D glove template Offer a specific set of customization options based on glove type

3. Step 2: PerPart Glove Customization

Users must be able to customize each visible part of the glove individually, including:

Finger panels (index, middle, ring, pinky) Thumb Palm Web type and web color Lace color Stitching color Welting & binding (top/bottom if separate) Wrist section

Branding logo appears in fixed positions on the palm and wrist User may choose logo color, but cannot change logo position or upload a new one

Custom Text Users may add custom text on the thumb or outside pinky (characterlimited) Font and color will be chosen from Brand approved options No text on wrist or palm

Color & Texture Logic

The builder should include all existing colors, materials, and patterns used in the CUSTOM Brand Glove Builder (https://customballgloves.com/products/custom-brand-glove-builder) — including snakeskin, metallics, and other finishes. You may extract color hex codes, textures, or pattern overlays directly from the CUSTOM Brand site. Brand will provide additional custom swatches and textures (e.g. more snakeskin styles) to be added on top. Every customizable part should support texture or flat color overlays depending on selection.

4. Step 3: Summary & Submission

Final screen displays: Full glove preview All selected options User fills in: Name Email Optional note

Submission Options All selections (including text and color choices) are either: Sent via email, or Logged into a spreadsheet (e.g. Google Sheet) Bonus (optional): downloadable PNG or PDF of the final design

Addtocart button (WooCommerce or Shopify integration) Realtime pricing calculation based on selected options Admin panel to manage glove options, swatches, or templates

While Brand will likely handle the website development inhouse using WordPress, we’re open to receiving a separate quote if you also offer frontend site development.

Quoting for the glove builder only is completely fine and still encouraged.
