Crypto Credit Card Site Build
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I want a fully custom-built web platform that mirrors the experience of Rewarble, letting users load a virtual or physical credit card with cryptocurrency and then spend online in fiat. The project is green-field, so you will architect both the customer-facing site and the secure back-end from scratch.
Core flow
• Visitors sign up, complete KYC, and create an account dashboard.
• They connect an external wallet or deposit directly (BTC, ETH, USDC to start).
• The system converts crypto to fiat on the fly and pushes the balance to a prepaid card issued through a card-program API (e.g., Stripe Issuing, Marqeta, or another provider you recommend).
• Each transaction, balance change, and exchange rate is logged in real time for the user and for admin oversight.
Technical expectations
• Clean, modern front end—React, Vue, or similar SPA is fine as long as it pairs smoothly with the back-end architecture you choose.
• Back end must be robust (Node.js, Python, Go, etc.) and written for scale, with clear separation of services, secure key management, and a REST/GraphQL API that a future mobile app can consume.
• Crypto payments handled through native libraries or gateways like Coinbase Commerce or on-chain interaction, whichever keeps fees and latency low.
• PCI-DSS compliance steps documented so we can certify the card flow later.
• Admin console for user management, KYC review, card lifecycle control, and manual balance adjustment.
Acceptance criteria
1. A new user can register, pass KYC, and receive an active virtual card funded by crypto in under five minutes.
2. Card details work on a mainstream e-commerce checkout (we’ll supply a test merchant).
3. All major errors (failed KYC, insufficient balance, rate slippage) surface clear messages to the user and log server-side.
4. Code is containerised, version-controlled in Git, and ships with README for local setup plus a simple CI pipeline for staging.
I’ll provide brand assets, wording, and legal policies; everything else—from database schema to deployment—is yours to craft. If you have direct experience with card-program APIs and blockchain payment rails, let’s talk through your proposed tech stack and project timeline.
