Convert iOS App to WebApp
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have a fully-functioning iOS app that authenticates users by email and relies on push notifications to keep everyone engaged. I now need the same experience delivered as a mobile-friendly WebApp—ideally a PWA—so users on any modern browser can log in, use every screen, and still receive real-time alerts just as they do on iOS.
Key points you’ll be working on
• Replicate the current UI/UX in responsive web technologies, keeping layout and flow the same.
• Implement secure email-based authentication that talks to my existing backend endpoints.
• Re-create push notifications on the web with identical behaviour (Web Push API, service workers, and iOS Safari support from 16.4 upward).
• Make sure everything is tested on Safari (iOS), Chrome, and Firefox mobile, with fallback handling for older browsers.
Acceptance criteria
– User can sign up, sign in, reset password, and remain logged in across sessions.
– A test push sent from the backend arrives on all supported browsers within five seconds, whether the WebApp is open or closed.
– No visual regressions compared to the current iOS version when viewed on screens from 4" to 6.7".
-- Build on firebase
-- Must have google admob ads
If you’ve converted native apps to PWAs before and are comfortable wrangling service workers and Apple’s latest push standards, this should be straightforward. I’ll share the current code and backend documentation once we start.
