Comprehensive Document Management & Subscription App

I need a secure, cloud-hosted web application that lets me store, organise, and control access to documents while handling user passwords and subscription billing in one place. The build starts with a single Admin role; however, the underlying permissions structure should stay open to future Editor or Viewer tiers.

Core modules
• Authentication: email-verified sign-up / log-in, strong password policy, “forgot password” flow and session management.
• Subscription engine: create plans, accept recurring payments, show current plan status and handle upgrades, downgrades or grace-period access automatically.
• Document repository: upload, tag, search, version and print documents (PDF, DOCX and common image formats).
• Alerts: send real-time email and SMS notifications for key events (new upload, plan renewal, failed payment). I also want the option to trigger a manual WhatsApp follow-up from inside the dashboard.
• Analytics: visual usage statistics and user activity reports—e.g. most-viewed files, peak traffic times, top search terms—exportable to CSV.
• Back-ups & recovery: automated daily database and file backups with one-click restore.

Acceptance criteria
1. Responsive UI tested on modern desktop & mobile browsers.
2. Role-based access confirmed for the Admin dashboard.
3. All alerts deliver successfully via my chosen email and SMS gateways.
4. Analytics panels load in under three seconds with sample data sets.
5. Restore from backup returns the system to a known good state without data loss.

Tech stack is your choice—Laravel, Node.js, Django or comparable—so long as it is well-documented, scalable and can be containerised for deployment on AWS or DigitalOcean. Source code must be handed over in a private Git repository together with a brief setup guide and API keys kept out of version control.
