E-Commerce Web App Development

The goal is to create a complete, production-ready e-commerce web application that covers the entire customer journey—from browsing products to a secure checkout—while giving me an intuitive admin area for catalog, order, and user management.

Core expectations
The front end should be responsive and accessible on modern browsers and mobile devices, with smooth navigation, clear product pages, a searchable catalog, and a fast, friction-free cart experience. On the back end I’ll need a secure authentication flow, stock-aware order processing, and an API architecture that can scale. You may choose the tech stack (React, Vue, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, Django, Laravel, or a similar mainstream framework) as long as it is actively maintained and comes with good test coverage.

Payment processing
A major payment gateway must be integrated and fully tested in both sandbox and live modes. Feel free to recommend the best fit for the stack you select; PCI-compliant handling of customer data is mandatory.

Deployment & maintenance
Containerised deployment (Docker or similar) to a cloud host such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean is preferred. CI/CD configuration that auto-builds, runs tests, and pushes to staging and production environments will be highly valued.

Deliverables
• Clean, well-commented source code in a public or private Git repository
• Deployed demo URL plus infrastructure scripts/documentation for reproducing the environment
• Quick-start guide for both customers and admins
• Test report covering critical purchase, refund, and user flows

Acceptance criteria
1. All essential user actions (browse, add to cart, checkout) complete within 3 seconds on a standard 4G connection.
2. No high-severity security findings from OWASP ZAP or a similar scan.
3. All listed deliverables provided and functioning as described.
