E-Commerce Site Rebuild & Fixes
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
My current e-commerce site has outlived its original build and is now showing bugs across checkout, product pages, and search. I want a full rebuild that preserves all existing products and customer data but delivers a faster, cleaner, mobile-first experience.
Core objectives
• Eliminate every existing bug and performance bottleneck.
• Modernise the design while keeping brand colours and imagery intact.
• Strengthen code quality for easier future updates.
Key feature upgrades I need implemented:
1. Customer reviews – star ratings, text feedback, photo uploads, and a simple moderation dashboard.
2. Advanced search filters – category, price range, colour, size, stock status, plus autocomplete that can handle typos.
3. Payment gateway integration – multiple processors (credit cards, PayPal, local wallets) with 3-D Secure and stored-card tokens for returning shoppers.
I’m open to rebuilding on whichever platform you believe offers the best mix of speed, extensibility, and lower long-term maintenance; please outline why you’d choose it and how you will handle data migration from the current store.
Acceptance criteria
• Zero critical or high-priority bugs at launch (confirmed through staged QA).
• Sub-two-second load time on main pages with Google PageSpeed scores above 90.
• Fully responsive layout, WCAG-compliant accessibility, and SEO-friendly URLs/meta.
• Clear hand-off package: source code, documentation, and video walk-through of key admin functions.
Timeline is negotiable, but I’d like a realistic milestone plan that shows design sign-off, development iterations, QA, and final deployment.
