CommandBox Setup on Chromebook

I’ve just picked up an Asus Chromebook and have developer-mode turned on. My goal is to get CommandBox running smoothly inside the Linux environment so I can work on my websites while I’m offline on flights.

Here’s what I need from you:
• A clear, step-by-step install and configuration process that works on ChromeOS’s built-in Linux (Crostini).
• Any tweaks required for reliable offline use—­including caching the Lucee/ColdFusion engine, package dependencies, and documentation so nothing breaks when Wi-Fi is unavailable.
• Lightweight testing instructions so I can confirm a server spins up, serves pages, and shuts down cleanly.
• A short write-up of the commands we run and what each does, so I can reproduce everything later.

My background: I’m comfortable in Linux terminal basics but still appreciate guidance when things stray from the standard path. If additional tools or flags are useful, feel free to introduce them as we go—I’ll ask questions where I need clarity.

Once CommandBox launches and a sample site renders locally in the browser without an internet connection, I’ll count the job complete.
