CodeIgniter Speed & Query Optimization

My PHP CodeIgniter site feels sluggish—especially on the homepage, product pages and during the checkout flow—and I know the bottleneck sits in both page-load performance and the underlying database queries. I’ve done only light, non-documented tests so far, so you’ll start by profiling the application yourself, then move straight into corrective work.

The job revolves around trimming every unnecessary millisecond from request to render. That means digging into controllers, models and views to remove redundant logic, rewriting or indexing heavy SQL calls, and applying sensible caching or asset-optimisation tactics so HTML, CSS, JS and images reach the browser faster.
