Cockroach Instagram-Style Social Site

I am building a niche, Instagram-like platform dedicated entirely to cockroach enthusiasts. The core experience should feel familiar to any Instagram user: smooth scrolling feeds, profile pages, likes, comments and, most importantly, the freedom for every user to post both photos and videos of their favourite roaches.

Here is the flow I need you to deliver:
• Web-based application (mobile-first responsive) where a user signs up, creates a profile and immediately starts sharing media.
• Reliable photo + video upload pipeline with preview, basic cropping for images and automatic transcoding for common video formats.
• Feed that orders posts chronologically at first; I will want the code structured so an algorithmic feed can be added later.
• Standard engagement tools: double-tap or heart to like, threaded comments, simple follow/unfollow.
• Search by user, hashtag and location.
• Clean admin dashboard to moderate content and ban problem accounts.

Please build the back-end API and database so the front-end can be React (or similar) with room to add a mobile app down the road. Security, scalability and clear documentation are non-negotiable acceptance criteria.
