Clinic Appointment Scheduler With SMS

I’m looking to build a lightweight appointment-scheduling module that clinics and hospitals can run from any browser. The core focus is simple: staff should be able to book, move, or cancel appointments in seconds, and every confirmed booking must automatically trigger an SMS reminder that includes the visit’s date and time, the doctor’s name, and the clinic address.

The flow I have in mind:
• Receptionist (or doctor) opens a clean calendar view, chooses an open slot, selects / creates the patient, and clicks “Save”.
• Behind the scenes the system stores the booking and instantly sends the tailored SMS through an integrated gateway such as Twilio, Nexmo, or any equivalent you recommend.
• If the slot is later changed or cancelled, a follow-up SMS goes out so patients stay informed.

Essential requirements
• Web-based UI that works smoothly on desktop and tablet
• Role-based log-in (admin, receptionist, doctor)
• Patient list searchable by name or phone number
• Re-usable SMS template that pulls the three fields noted above without fail
• Error handling and simple audit log so we can track who did what and when

Nice-to-have (let me know if you can bundle these in): room for future modules such as full medical records or billing, plus API endpoints so other hospital software can push or pull appointment data.

Deliverables
1. Source code (prefer Laravel / Node / Django, but I’m open) with clear setup notes
2. Database schema and migration scripts
3. Live demo on your test server for acceptance
4. Deployment guide so my in-house IT team can install it on our own Ubuntu server
