I’m building an online hub where anyone can book a private chef or enrol in a cooking class, then pay safely in advance through an escrow-style system that releases funds only after the service is completed. Chefs will pay a commission
The visual approach must be modern and clean, with fast, mobile-first pages and clear calls-to-action that keep the booking flow frictionless.
Accounts & dashboards
• Chefs create a full profile, add a bio and specialties, manage an availability calendar in real time, and collect reviews and star ratings from past clients.
• Users set up their own profile with food preferences, track their entire booking history, and (later) may get a “save favourite chefs” option, so structure the database to allow that field.
Core booking engine
Visitors should be able to search by date, location, cuisine or class type, view a chef’s calendar, and confirm a slot. Once confirmed, the platform triggers the upfront payment into a protected holding account. Integrate a mainstream gateway such as Stripe Connect, PayPal Adaptive, or similar that supports split or delayed payouts. Automated e-mail/SMS notifications for both parties are essential.
Admin controls
I need a simple back-office where I can verify new chef profiles, resolve disputes, process refunds, and release funds when milestones are met.
