Cargo Van Schedules & Tracking
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m building a straightforward web presence for my cargo-van service and need a developer who can quickly turn the core idea into a clean, responsive site. The site’s single job is to publish up-to-date schedules and route information for our vans, then let visitors see where any given van is in real time.
Key requirements
• A homepage that briefly explains the service and highlights today’s departure / arrival times.
• A schedule page that I can update easily (CSV upload or a simple backend form—open to your suggestion).
• Real-time tracking: pin the vans on an interactive map; Google Maps or Mapbox JS works for me as long as the solution is lightweight and mobile-friendly.
• Basic admin login where I can create or adjust routes, assign a unique ID to each van, and toggle its live status.
• Modern, responsive design—Bootstrap or Tailwind are both fine, just keep the look clean and fast.
Tech stack is flexible: a simple Node/Express or Laravel backend is perfectly acceptable, but I’m open to anything you’re comfortable with that keeps hosting costs low.
Acceptance criteria
1. Schedules load in under two seconds on 4G.
2. Map updates location markers without a full page refresh.
3. Admin can edit, add, or delete a van route in no more than three clicks.
4. Code is handed over neatly commented, with a short README explaining setup and environment variables for the tracking API.
