Car Manufacturer Search App Redesign
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I already have the source code for an app that lets me browse world-famous actors and models, and I now want the exact same flow refocused on automobile manufacturers. Your task is to adapt that existing project so I can explore brands by two filters—country of origin and car type—then view richer profile pages for each brand that include their history, flagship or top-selling models, and current market presence.
The browsing experience should feel identical to the original: fast keyword search, filter toggles on the sidebar, clean card grid, and a detail page that loads on tap. Where the old app pulled actor bios and images, this version must pull authoritative automotive data (open APIs, reputable car databases, or a lightweight scraped cache—whatever is most reliable). High-resolution brand logos and hero images are essential because I plan to export my favorite two-dozen brands as poster-ready files for a feature wall in my villa. A one-click “Save as Poster” button that outputs 300-dpi PNG or PDF, sized to A2 or 18×24-inch, will cover that need.
I’ll hand over:
• Full source code and UI assets from the actor search app
• A short list of design tweaks for the new car-centric look
Deliverables I need from you:
1. Refactored codebase running the new data model (manufacturers) with the stated filters.
2. Poster export module that formats the brand logo, headline stats, and a short history snippet in a balanced layout optimized for wall printing.
3. README covering build steps, data sources used, and how to extend filters later.
Use whatever tech stack the original project is on (it’s React + Firebase, though feel free to modernize minor dependencies). Make it responsive so I can test on my tablet before printing. I’ll consider the job complete once I can search, view, and export posters for at least 50 manufacturers without data glitches.
