Browser Graphic Novel Editor

Job ID: 40229025

Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD

I want to launch a simple, online-only web app that lets people lay out and design their own graphic novels right inside the browser. The emphasis is on an uncluttered interface rather than a feature-packed publishing suite. It should be the PowerPoint of graphic novel creation. Users open the site, can create panel layouts, easily design panels, API integration to vistacreate clipart and API integration to nano banana should make creating comics fast and fun, then save everything straight to their own machine as a single local file—no sign-ups, databases, or cloud storage. Think Canva or PowerPoint for graphic novel creation and layout, simple enough for a child. The design should be uncluttered and intuitive.

Because the app must run entirely online, it needs to respond smoothly on both desktop and mobile browsers without installing anything. A lightweight JavaScript stack (React, Vue or Svelte; HTML5 Canvas or SVG for drawing) would be ideal, but I’m flexible on tools as long as the final bundle stays lean and loads quickly.

Deliverables
• Production-ready source code with clear comments
• A brief README covering build steps and how the local-file save works
• Deployed demo link so I can test in Chrome, Firefox and mobile Safari

Acceptance criteria
• All editing actions happen client-side; no server writes
• “Save” produces a single downloadable file that reloads the full project state
• Interface remains usable on a 6-inch phone screen as well as a 24-inch monitor

If you have existing components or libraries that can speed things up, let me know—I’m happy to consider them so long as licensing stays permissive for commercial use.
