Book Promotion & Sales Website Build, don’t want complex website. Simple task. I do build websites but I haven’t time rn.
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m ready to launch a web presence that lets me do three things in one place—promote my titles, offer in-depth information about each book, and handle direct sales. The primary readership I want to serve is students and researchers, so the site has to feel scholarly yet approachable, with clear navigation and plenty of space for metadata, excerpts, reviews, and downloadable study resources.
Core expectations
• Responsive design that looks polished on desktop, tablet, and mobile
• A searchable catalogue with filters useful to an academic audience (subject, author, ISBN, edition, publication year)
• Individual book pages that accommodate rich descriptions, sample chapters (PDF or flipbook), and citation details
• Integrated shopping cart and secure checkout (Stripe or PayPal are both fine)
• Simple content-management so I can add new titles, blog posts, and supplementary materials without touching code
• SEO fundamentals baked in, plus schema markup for books
• Basic analytics setup so I can track visitor behaviour and sales funnels
I’m open to the platform you’re most comfortable with—WordPress + WooCommerce, Shopify, or a modern Jamstack approach—as long as it delivers the features above and future updates stay straightforward.
When you reply, please send a detailed project proposal outlining:
1. Your suggested tech stack and any premium themes/plugins you’d rely on
2. A concise timeline broken into milestones (design, development, testing, launch)
3. Recent sites you’ve built with similar e-commerce or educational focus
4. Anything you’ll need from me before kickoff (assets, hosting access, etc.)
I’ll review proposals on clarity, technical fit, and how well they address the academic audience. Let’s build something that puts great books into the hands of the people who need them most.
