Book Donation Exchange Portal
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a web-based portal that lets three distinct user groups interact smoothly:
• Donor – log in, list each book intended for donation, generate a packing slip, mark the parcel “sent by courier,” and later review a permanent history of everything they have given.
• Admin – confirm reception of each shipment, approve or reject individual titles, and make the verified stock instantly appear in the public catalogue. All transactions must stay traceable so I can see who donated what, when it arrived, and its current status.
• Donee – browse the live catalogue, place a request for any available title, and review a personal borrowing history. When a book is returned, its status should automatically flip back to “in stock” so it shows up for the next reader.
Core workflow I expect:
1. Donor lists books → prints courier label.
2. Admin receives parcel → validates titles → approved items appear online.
3. Donee books a title → system logs the match, hides it from the public list until it is returned.
4. Return processed → item re-enters stock.
I want the whole trail—donation, approval, request, issue, return—stored forever in the database and visible through each user’s dashboard. Clean, intuitive screens are more important to me than flashy graphics, but the code should be solid and well-documented so future enhancements are easy.
Deliverables:
• Responsive website (desktop & mobile) with secure login for Donor, Donee, and Admin roles.
• Dashboards implementing every action listed above, including courier-dispatch confirmation and return processing.
• Persistent transaction log viewable by role.
• Source code and simple deployment guide.
If you have already built inventory or library systems, that background will help you hit the ground running.
