BlaBlaCar-Style Ride-Sharing Platform
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to build a full-scale ride-sharing marketplace where drivers list empty seats and passengers reserve them in just a few taps. I need both a responsive web application and companion mobile apps for iOS and Android that feel fast, reliable, and secure.
Scope and key capabilities
• User accounts for both drivers and passengers, each with editable profiles and photo upload.
• Seamless booking and payment flow that lets drivers set seat price, passengers pay in-app, and everyone receives instant confirmations.
• Rating & review system so both sides can leave feedback after each trip.
• Multi-method authentication: classic email/password, one-tap social login, and phone number verification with OTP.
Technical expectations
You may choose the stack—React, Vue, or a modern SPA framework for the web; Flutter, React Native, or truly native for mobile—so long as code is clean, documented, and scalable. Real-time data sync (Firebase, WebSockets, or similar) is essential for up-to-the-minute seat availability. Payments can run through Stripe or another widely adopted gateway. Security best practices (encrypted traffic, hashed passwords, GDPR-ready data handling) are non-negotiable.
Deliverables
1. Web app with desktop and mobile-responsive views.
2. iOS and Android apps published to TestFlight / internal track for testing.
3. Source code repository with commit history and clear README.
4. Basic admin dashboard for user management and trip moderation.
5. Setup scripts or Docker files so I can reproduce the environment locally.
6. Short hand-off session and post-launch bug-fix window.
If you’ve shipped marketplace or mobility products before, highlight them—especially anything using maps, location services, or live bookings. Let’s team up to put the next BlaBlaCar in motion.
